1. When was the last time your crematoria underwent significant renovation? What works were carried out and what was the overall cost?
2. When do you project future works will be required? (chapel renovation, cremation chambers, etc) If the decision is made to withhold some of this data using exemptions in the Data Protection Act, please inform me of that fact and cite the exemptions used.
Response
Work on a one room extension was carried out approximately 10-15 years ago and roof works were carried out about 5 years ago. Figures on overall cost are not available.
When do you project future works will be required? (chapel renovation, cremation chambers, etc)
The crematorium is currently undergoing a £10 million rebuild project with a new build chapel, crematory, offices and book of remembrance and flower room. The project is on course to be completed in late 2019.
