31 This includes some where one is marked over another. If we just include one pitch per space, then the total would be 20. These are all grass pitches. We have not included astro courts.
2. Of football pitches owned by the council, how many did the council operate on 1 January 2026?
30.
3. Of football pitches owned by the council, how many were free to access as of 1 January 2026?
0.
4. Of football pitches operated by the council, how many were free to access as of 1 January 2026?
0.
5. How many football pitches owned by the council were closed down or sold in 2026?
0 football pitches were closed or sold in 2026. One football pitch has been converted to a rugby pitch in consultation with a local rugby and football club. One 11 -a-side pitch has been converted to two smaller pitches in consultation with a local club, to accommodate more junior games.
