Response

Thank you for your Freedom of Information Request . I have set out below the requests you have made and below each one provided the data requested. The data is from the three month period from 1 September to 30 November 2017. The money quoted in the answer to part 2 represents the payments collected from penalty charges in this period and is not just from the penalty charges issued in this period.

1. The number of Parking Charge Notices the Council has issued over the last 3 months (November 2017- September 2017)

We issued 8,257 Penalty Charge Notices in this period.

2. The revenue from the Parking Charge Notices issued by the Council over the last 3 months (November 2017 - September 2017)

In the period we received £330,597 in payments from penalty charge notices.

3. The location i.e. street or car park where Parking Charge Notices have been issued the most by the Council over the last 3 months (November 2017 - September 2017)

The location where the most penalty charge notices (PCNs) were issued is Bedford Road Multi Storey Car Park. In the period 354 PCNs were issued. However over the same period 134,413 drivers paid to use the car park and the number of PCNS is small compared to the level of usage.
