I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from Guildford Borough Council. Please may you provide me with:
The latest information held on graffiti cleaning and budgets/spending in Guildford Borough Council for the past 2 years 2025, and budgeted for 2026 (or the most recently available data for a 2 year period). Information should include:
1) Total number of graffiti instances reported in 2025 =
2) Total number of graffiti instances resolved in 2025, e.g. cleaned/removed =
3) Total council spending on graffiti removal/cleaning in 2025 (if the exact spend isn't available, how much was budgeted?) =
4) Total council budget for graffiti removal/cleaning in 2026 =
5) Estimated typical response time for Council to remove/clean graffiti after it is reported =

The latest information held on graffiti cleaning and budgets/spending in Guildford Borough Council for the past 2 years 2025, and budgeted for 2026 (or the most recently available data for a 2 year period). Information should include:
1) Total number of graffiti instances reported in 2025 = 242 cases reported to Guildford Borough Council in which 118 work orders were sent to street cleaning.
2) Total number of graffiti instances resolved in 2025, e.g. cleaned/removed = 60 work orders were completed and 58 were cancelled.
3) Total council spending on graffiti removal/cleaning in 2025 (if the exact spend isn't available, how much was budgeted?) = We do not hold this information as there is not a separate budget for graffiti removal.
4) Total council budget for graffiti removal/cleaning in 2026 = We do not hold this information as there is not a separate budget for graffiti removal.
5) Estimated typical response time for Council to remove/clean graffiti after it is reported = 48 hours to inspect the graffiti.
