I would like to know the total number of investigations carried out by the Planning Enforcement Team in 2016 and out of that total the number of instances where "no further action taken" was the decision made by the investigating officer even though a breach of planning regulations had taken place.
Response
The total number of investigations carried out by the Planning Enforcement Team in 2016 -
- 459 cases. In 2016 we would have investigated these cases and any open cases from previous years.
Of that total the number of instances where "no further action taken" was the decision made by the investigating officer even though a breach of planning regulations had taken place -
- 37 cases were closed for non-expediency. It should be noted that not all of these cases were cases received in 2016.
