Housing Development in the Eight Parishes
Case reference FOI2026/01284
Received 22 June 2026
Published 20 July 2026
Request
I am writing to ask whether Guildford Borough Council holds summary figures for housing development across the eight parishes in the Eastern Villages - East Horsley, West Horsley, Effingham, Ockham, East Clandon, West Clandon, and Ripley.
Please could you confirm whether the Council has total figures for each of the eight parishes showing:
homes already completed;
homes with planning permission but not yet built;
homes currently pending determination or appeal; and
any allocated housing sites within the Local Plan or emerging planning documents.
If this information is already published, please could you direct us to the relevant document or webpage. If it is not available by parish, please could you advise what housing monitoring data the Council does hold and whether it can be broken down locally.

Homes with planning permission but not yet built – Further details can be found in Appendix 4 of the Land Availability Assessment (LAA).
Please note that the most recent Land Availability Assessment was published for the 2024–25 monitoring year. The document will be updated later this year to reflect the 2025-26 monitoring information provided above.
Allocated housing sites – please see Appendices 2 and 7 of the LAA. Appendix 7 sets out the forecast delivery trajectory for sites that have detailed permission for over 50 homes, for all outline permissions and for all outstanding site allocations in the Local Plan: strategy and sites (2019). Appendix 2 contains proformas for the unpermitted allocated sites and non-allocated sites, these set out additional detail on the suitability, availability, and achievability of each site. Homes currently pending determination or appeal – the Council does not hold monitoring information for these categories, and we are therefore unable to provide figures.
Yours sincerely,
