I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. 1) Between July 2016 and July 2018, how many complaints were received by your local authority regarding landlords of private rented properties? 2) How many of those complaints related to: a) Failure to do repairs b) Failure to return deposits c) 'Category 1' hazards - please provide details. d) Wrongful eviction e) Rent increases f) Other 3) During the same period, how many times did your local authority: a) Carry out an inspection on a private rented property? b) Start legal proceedings against a landlord? Of those, how many resulted in a successful prosecutions, and if so please provide details including penalties.
