I would like to put in a FOI request to Guildford Borough Council to find out:
1. How much money in grants from Guildford Borough Council was paid to Age UK Surrey for the Guildford ShopMobility scheme in your accounting year 2025/26?
2. Whether this grant had any requirements/rules attached to it for what it should be spent on within the Guildford ShopMobility scheme by Age UK Surrey?
3. How much the peppercorn rent charged by Guildford Borough Council is annually for the use of the area in Bedford Road car park for the ShopMobility scheme space including the office space?
4. We would like to request that the annual grant paid out each year towards this ShopMobility service by Guildford Borough Council will still be available to support the scheme if we and others are able to find funding to make up Age UK Surrey's part of the annual running costs of the ShopMobility service please?

3. How much the peppercorn rent charged by Guildford Borough Council is annually for the use of the area in Bedford Road car park for the ShopMobility scheme space including the office space?
For the use of the area in Bedford Road car park and including the office space they pay a peppercorn rent (i.e. £0.00 per annum).
4. We would like to request that the annual grant paid out each year towards this ShopMobility service by Guildford Borough Council will still be available to support the scheme if we and others are able to find funding to make up Age UK Surrey's part of the annual running costs of the ShopMobility service please?
Guildford Borough Council remains supportive of the Age UK ShopMobility scheme and has no intention to end our financial support. We have ringfenced a budget of £44,874 in grant funding for the 2026/27 financial year to continue supporting Shopmobility, should Age UK Surrey wish to continue operating (or should another charitable organisation wish to take over full operation of the service).
